■ステートメント

これは波乗り達の戦いの雄叫びである。戦闘に突撃する前の喊声（かんせい）
や大事なゲームの前の叫びであり、糞を押し出している瞬間の、そして
何らかの猛攻に持ちこたえている時の叫びである！これは波をとらえ、
波にのみ込まれ、打ちのめされ、それでも、そうなることがつきものである
という運命を受け入れ、再び立ち上がり、また挑戦を試みる抽象表現主義者の
ショーである。

この表現を初めて耳にしたのはHiratsukanin, MO3からであった。
かれはワクワクし、波を刻んでいると彼はそれほどボードから落ちる事は
ないのだ。
マカレヨーゼは波に乗ろうと試みる興奮のために自分を犠牲にし、
そのプロセスにおいて、打ちのめされるという決闘に備える自分にとっての
雄叫びだと言っていいだろう。
波乗りは生きることへのメタフォー的行動であり、マカレヨーゼ!!!は生きて
いる事に対する私の確認なのだ。

このショーのイメージは生きる事とはどの様なものであるかの自分自身の
視覚的解釈とこれまで何度も無傷でやってこれた自分自身の旅を反映したものである。

makaREyOzE is the new show by Mike Ming. It is the war cry of wave riders, like the war cry before going into battle or
shouting out before a big game or when you know shits about to go down and you brace yourself against an onslaught of
whatevers! This is the abstract expressionist show of wave charging and getting eat and drilled and pounded and accepting
this fate as part of the program and getting up and trying again.
I first heard this expression from Hiratsukanin , MO3. As he doesn t get eat as much as he gets pumped and slashes the waves,
I think its appropriate that makaREyOzE is my battle cry as I prepare for battle and sacrifice myself for the thrill of trying to
ride the waves and getting a beat down in the process.
As wave riding is an action that is metaphoric for living, makaREyOzE !!! is my affirmation of living.
The images for the show is a reflection of my own visual interpretation of what living is like and my own personal journey
where I come out unscathed, again and again.

MIKE MING

フリーランスアーティスト。NY生まれ。
名前と見かけからよく中国系と思われがちだが、ファミリーのルーツは日本の沖縄である。
アーティスティックでありクリエイティブなあらゆる事に取組んでいる。彼は家族をこよなく愛し、人生を楽しみ、
そして彼自身と彼のアートワークに興味を持ってくれるすべての人々に感謝している。

Mike Ming lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
He is a freelancing artist who works commercially and personally. He was born in NY and his family roots lie in Japan. He is not Chinese, as was assumed by name and appearence but is in fact Okinawa / Japanese. He has been playing with art all things artistic / creative. He loves his family and he appreciates his life and anyone interested in his art and he.
